I want to back, but 2 years is a lot of time to wait!

That’s true, but we’re only a team of three that are working on this in between full-time careers. Two years is the maximum wait time, taking into account the possibility of additional adventures as well. Our intention is to fulfil as soon as we can, but we also don’t want to promise a year, only to keep pushing it back further and further.

We understand that two years may feel like a long time, but with your support not only can we produce some fantastic products, but with more funding we can quite literally produce even more content! We are also inviting All-In and above backers the opportunity to join our play test programme, where you will gain immediate access to play test adventures at the end of the campaign, as well as more for each adventure throughout the post-campaign up until fulfilment!

Backing now is the best way to get access to everything we have to offer :).

How will the collab encounters work? I know we have to back both Kickstarters, but how will we be able to verify we backed both to get the encounters?

We will be able to cross reference actual backers after the campaign ends :).

The encounters will work as modular pop-outs that you can use at any time or specific points.

How do I get my VIP Mythic One Hour Encounter?

If you put down $1 before the Kickstarter, and have backed us at any pledge level, then you’re all good!

Your VIP reward should show up once our Pledge Manager goes live.

What if I'm using a different email for my Kickstarter & VIP?

Once the campaign ends, we will be sending out a Backer Survey. Within this survey will be a specific question asking you to confirm your email address should your Kickstarter and VIP sign ups be different. This will then be checked against our database of VIPs, and as long as they match, you’ll receive your reward!

I live in a country not listed in the shipping estimates - is there any estimate available?

Yes, we have a very extensive list of estimated shipping costs and if you message us at [email protected] we can provide that estimate as well as confirm if we are unable to ship to your country.

Really, no AI?

Yep, we have not AT ANY STAGE used generative AI, or enhancements with AI, for any of our artwork or writing when producing our adventures. We only work with and support real human beings, which has already allowed us to work with an incredible variety of wonderful artists, showcasing both upcoming talent and veterans of the TTRPG industry.

So, if it’s all in one room, is there no exploring?

One Room’ doesn’t mean your player characters don’t or can’t explore - it’s more about keeping the action contained within a single, cohesive space that fits everything into one session. That space can still offer rich variety and depth. So, while the setting is technically one room or area, there’s still plenty of exploration and discovery for the players. Also, this means NO SPLITTING THE PARTY!

Are the player characters pre-made for each adventure?

Yes, we have six characters that will be available once One Room One Shots is released as a free download, separate from the adventures, in order to comply with the OGL. Each character comes pre-leveled and tailored to the specific adventures. This includes unique story hooks for each adventure, as well as distinctive abilities and an ongoing, interwoven narrative between the characters themselves.

Why are there no Digital Add-On’s?

As every pledge contains all of the digital content (digital adventures, digital One Hour Encounters, digital maps PLUS digital versions of any unlocked adventures and One Hour Encounters), we do not have any digital add-ons aside from the Roll20 VTT conversion for all adventures.

Will the ongoing global tariffs affect the Kickstarter?

We’re doing our best to navigate the constant changes, and one of the key ways we’re achieving this is by printing in the UK rather than abroad. The printed books are then sent to our UK-based shipping partner for repackaging and fulfilment. We’ve partnered with an excellent printing company that provides high quality at an affordable cost, so the cost of printing is unlikely to change between now and fulfilment.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
